Opus Bio Hydraulic 68 is a biodegradable high VI hydraulic fluid, blended from natural vegetable oils. Opus Bio Hydraulic 68 incorporates the latest advances in modern additive technology, which ensures good oxidation stability, good anti-corrosion and excellent anti-wear characteristics. Opus Bio Hydraulic 68 is non-scorch, non-toxic and ecologically friendlier to the environment.
Applications
BIO Hydraulic 68 should be used in all hydraulic systems where leakage may contaminate the soil, resulting in pollution of our natural waterways, i.e. in forestry and agricultural machinery, golf courses and earthmoving equipment. Because of its excellent low pour point (-26°C) and its high viscosity index stability (maximum operating temperature of +120°C), Bio Hydraulic 68 will ensure excellent lubrication and all year-round protection.
Oil change intervals must be in line with manufacturers’ instructions. When changing from mineral oil to biodegradable fluids, systems must be drained completely, as contamination from mineral oil would reduce biodegradability.
Test Data suggests that this formulation would readily meet the Hydraulic requirements of ISO 15380 as well as DIN 51354 and DIN 51389 (part II).
