COVID-19 Update

Ferguson & Menzies Ltd (Opus Lubricants) is taking the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus extremely seriously. Our number one priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers, visitors and contractors providing a safe and clean environment.

We are keeping up to date as the situation develops and are following the advice and recommendations from the Government, Health Protection Scotland and the World Health Organisation.

At our site at Broomloan Road, Glasgow, we are in daily contact with all our staff and are monitoring their wellbeing.

Our staff have been trained on the importance of hygiene and cleaning regimes including thorough, frequent hand washing and sanitising.

To help minimise the spread of the virus, we are following the latest Government recommendations and asking any person with a high temperature or continuous cough or flu-like symptoms NOT to come onto our site.

Please advise the Opus Lubricants representative responsible for your site attendance immediately if any of your staff test positive for COVID-19 and may have come into contact with any of our employees.

Please also advise us if you are closing your site as a measure to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Site hygiene

  • Wash your hands or sanitise upon entry to the site buildings.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water often, wash with soap for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
  • When you cough or sneeze don’t cover your mouth and nose with your hands – use a tissue or your sleeve – Catch it, Bin it, Kill it.
  • Disposable tissues and dispensers are installed in toilet areas.
  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using wipes provided.

Behaviour

  • Avoid large crowds and gatherings.
  • Do not shake hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people.
  • Where possible maintain an appropriate distance (2 meters).
